Newham University Hospital NHS Trust is delighted to welcome Dawn Wakeling who takes up post today (27 September 2004) as Director of Service and Organisational Development.
Dawn comes from her role as an Associate Director with the NHS Modernisation Agency and will bring to the Trust a wealth of experience in service modernisation both at Trust and National levels.
Dawn has worked within the NHS, Social Services and the voluntary sector, Dawn's expertise includes operational management, corporate leadership, modernisation, organisational development and clinical governance. In her new role at Newham she will be responsible for a wide range of service and organisational development activities within the Trust's modernisation agenda.
Dawn Wakeling said: "I'm greatly looking forward to working at Newham - in all my visits and contact with the Trust I have been struck by its values and ethos which are deeply rooted in a commitment to the local community. I'm looking forward to working with front line staff and supporting them through the changes that are underway."
Kathy Watkins, Chief Executive of the Trust, said; "I am pleased to welcome Dawn to Newham. Her experience at national level and her work with different agencies will be a real asset for Newham."
